Trans-Tasman Fight Night Going to Set Wintry Saturday Aflame

The 'Father of NZ Muay Thai', Phillip Lam, presents the latest high-quality Thai Boxing show care of Lee Gar Gym tomorrow night. From 6pm, the ASB Stadium will echo with the cheers, jeers and shouts of fighters and spectators as the New Zealand side bring it to their opponents across the ditch. Topping the bill is a main event title fight between NZ's Steve Hahm (Lee Gar) and Australian Mat Cashmore for the WMC South Pacific Title; a full undercard will preface the big event.

Unfortunately, injuries have dealt an unexpected blow to two top fights on the card and the Antz Nansen vs Saulaimaine Konatf, Joe Hopkins vs Chris Woronjanski fights have been cancelled. With a card of solid fighters lined up for the night though, no one - not even Mayor John Banks, who will be in attendance - will walk away without a smile of satisfaction.
